Prices represent trips we assist you in organising as we are not a Travel Agency. We are travelling as a group of divers.
SSI Open Water Diver Course Standard Structure:
2 weeks prior to trip: Pick up of material / registration / equipment fitting / full payment 2 weeks prior to the course.
Week of trip when one is put together by divers: Monday evenings theory session from 7pm, Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings pool sessions from 6.30pm (including a 200m swim of any style and a 10 minute water float / tread), Friday evening departure for trip organised by our friends to Pulau Dayang or to Tioman (time for departure will be advised on trip week depending on tide tables).
PADI Participants to bring along Recreational Dive Planner (RDP)
SSI Participants to bring along US Navy Doppler Decompression Tables found in back of Manual
SSI Advanced Adventurer Course / SSI Specialty Courses requiring diving:
2 weeks prior to trip: Pick up of material (where applicable) / registration / equipment fitting / full payment 2 weeks prior to the course.
Topics covered: Deep Diving, Diver Propulsion Vehicle, Night Diving, Peak Performance Bouyancy, Underwater Navigation; Drift Diving (optional item if water or weather conditions are unfavorable. *Deep and Underwater Navigation are required courses in order to complete the PADI Advanced Open Water Course.
Week of trip when one is put together by divers: Friday evening departure for trip to Pulau Dayang or to Tioman organised by our friends (time for departure will be advised on trip week depending on tide tables).
SSI Stress & Rescue Course Structure:
2 weeks prior to trip: Pick up of course material / registration / equipment fitting / full payment 2 weeks prior to the course.
Week before trip: conduct of Emergency First Responder Course* on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. (With AED and actual O2 administration conducted)
Week of trip: Monday evenings theory session from 7pm, Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings pool sessions from 6.30pm, Friday evening departure for trip to Pulau Dayang or to Tioman (time for departure will be advised on trip week depending on tide tables).
SSI Participants to bring along Diving Accident Management Flowchart, 5-minute Neuro Exam & Emergency Assistance Plan (EAP)
* If you have current certifications for First Aid with Primary & Secondary Care; CPR with AED administration and Oxygen provision you may show us your card (which must be valid at the time of certification of your course) and be exempted from the First Aid Right / Emergency First Responder Course.
Private instruction available for those unable to make the standard course schedules. Kindly write information for more details or enquiries on private instruction.
Refund Policy: no refunds once courses and / or trips are signed up (once you sign up) for as we have to assign instructors and provision for logistics as well as trip bookings which we assist you in paying the dive operators and/or other associated operators.
Special needs? Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Hokkien classes available in groups of 5 or more. Private instruction is available with MSD. Write us for more information.
